Anthony J. Momberg
Anthony J. Momberg, age 82, of Cameron, OK, passed away on November 30, 2012. He was born July 23, 1930, to a farmer family in the Netherlands, a small village called Ruurlo. He was the seventh child of fourteen and they called him Jozef. The family thought he would be a good shoemaker but instead he explored the big world. He went abroad, first to Canada and later to the United States of America. He visited his family in Holland many times but made his home in the U.S. He was a certified welder by profession; Catholic by faith, and loved working in his yard and spending time with his beloved wife Evelyn and Gengi Renee his beautiful Yorkie.
Preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers.
A.J. is survived by his wife Evelyn Momberg and beloved Yorkie Gengi, of the home; brothers, Mien Momberg and wife Jan, Johan Momberg, M. Glerkink Momberg and wife Marietje, August Momberg and wife Agnes all of The Netherlands, Truus Momberg Bluemink, Agnes Momberg, Yvonne Engelbarts Hummelink, also of The Netherlands; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend (like a daughter) Stacy Morgan and husband Tony; the staff at Heavener Nursing Center; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Father Valentine Ndebilie officiating. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. You may leave an on-line greeting to the family at www.gracemanorfh.com
