Aretha Fefe Brown, 77, of Pocola, OK, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born December 19, 1937, at Dustin, OK, to William Barker and Rosetta (Harris) Brown. She was retired from retail sales for K-Mart.
Survivors include four daughters, Monica Mosley and husband Howard, Pamela Sharp, Kelly Schertler and husband J.D. all of Pocola, OK and Sandra Gardner and husband Bill of Roland, OK; a brother Kenneth Brown of Sallisaw, OK; four sisters, Aftin Jones of Bokoshe, OK, Zelvern Pinkston of Pocola, OK, Genice Sharp of Modesto, CA and Emma Smith of Sallisaw, OK; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Aretha is preceded in death by parents; three sisters, Mabel Watteau, Jewell Ellis and Geneva Evans; two sons-in-law, Alvin McGuire and Calvin Stickman Stone.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015, at Dustin Cemetery in Dustin, OK, with Pastor Glen Edmondson officiating. Interment will follow service. Viewing will be Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau, Ok.
