Obituary for
Arthur N. Hoffman Jr.
A.N. "Junior" Hoffman, 85, of Bokoshe, OK, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, in Ft. Smith, AR. He was born January 16, 1929 in Ballinger, TX to A.N. Hoffman Sr. and Annie Plumer (Stagner). On June 5, 1948 he married the love of his life Mary Fae Garrett. He worked in the oil fields, was a rancher and raised cattle, chickens and turkeys, with Mary by his side. He loved fishing, camping and gardening. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bokoshe, OK
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dayton Hoffman; two sisters, Cleo Hoffman Underwood and Norma Jean Hoffman Condra; and a daughter-in-law Linda Kay Hoffman.
Junior is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Hoffman of the home; three sons, Norman Hoffman and wife Susan of Bokoshe, Wayne Hoffman and wife Linda of Poteau, and Rick Hoffman of Bokoshe; a sister-in-law Bobbie Rowland of Shady Point; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren, with two more on the way.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Jamie Hoffman, Brian Hoffman, Jason Hoffman, Jeff Walker, Dennis Covey, Justin Graham, Jason Strickland, Seth Hildebrant, Heath Place and Trey Weaver.
Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 31, 2014, at the First Baptist Church, Bokoshe, OK, with Bro. Jerry Turner and Bro. Wes Bates officiating. Interment will follow service at Old Bokoshe Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
