Barbara Collins, 76, of Poteau, OK, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015, in Poteau. She was born June 16, 1938, at Los Angeles, CA to William F. and Aline Thayer. She was a nurse aide.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother William Thayer Jr.
Barbara is survived by two sons, John and wife Dee Collins of Milton, OK and William Collins of Shady Point, OK; three daughters Debbie and husband Lewis Poore of Howe, OK, Sandy and husband Jim Vickers of Rock Island, OK and Ashley McDaniel also of Rock Island, OK; sixteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May l5, 2015, at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow service. The family will green friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, OK.
