Barbara Jean Darden, 78, of Arkoma, OK, passed away January 8, 2011, in Fort Smith, AR. She was born July 25, 1932, in Sapulpa, OK, to Ross and Helen (Cramer) Cole. Barbara married Ambrose Jack Darden on August 1, 1952, in Bentonville, AR. She was the Momma and the homemaker and was a member of Moffett Full Gospel Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Larry Gene Darden; one brother Tommy and wife Delores Cole; a son-in-law Melvin Looper and four grandchildren. She is survived by five sons, Arthur (Darden) Willet of Spiro, OK, Milton Darden of Arkoma, OK, David Darden and wife Tracey of Arkoma, OK, Steven Darden of Arkoma, OK, Clayton Darden and wife Karen of Arkoma, OK; three daughters Beverly Weese of Spiro, OK, Helen Looper of Pocola, OK, Alice Ledford and husband Stan of Arkoma, OK; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and one on the way; three great great grandchildren; as well as numerous other friends, family members and loved ones.
