Benedict "Ben" Robert Wiatrek

Benedict “Ben” Robert Wiatrek, Jr. of Poteau, Oklahoma was born November 24, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas to Ben, Sr. and Mary (Moy) Wiatrek, passed away August 26, 2026 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

Benedict is survived by:

His wife:  Rhonda K. Wiatrek

One daughter:  Jennifer McHam

One step-daughter:  Jamie Allen and husband Gregory

Two sons:  Matthew Wiatrek and Evan Wiatrek

One step-son:  Roman Delino and wife Rachel

Three brothers:  Anthony “Tony” Wiatrek, Geoffrey Wiatrek, and Richard Wiatrek

His grandchildren:  Caroline and Logan McHam, Halen and Henley Wiatrek, Lucas, Aniya, Corwin, and Eli Allen, and River and Loretta Beliano

Numerous other loved ones and a host of friends

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben, Sr. and Mary Wiatrek.

Ben, a devoted husband and an Assistant Manager at Home Depot until he retired, leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He attended the Poteau Church of Christ. Ben found joy in watching classic westerns and the Andy Griffith Show, and he cherished the uplifting melodies of Southern Gospel music. His family was his greatest treasure, and they will forever hold a special place in their hearts for him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A memorial service to celebrate Benedict’s life will be Noon, September 10, 2026 at the Margaret Mary Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas.
