Obituary for Betty June Brown
Betty June Brown, 85, of Spiro, OK, passed away October 5, 2017, in her home. She was born June 17, 1932, in Reed, OK. She was lovingly cared for during her last few years by her husband of 49 years and her children. Betty was a beautician, a homemaker, and a gifted seamstress. She loved gardening, crafting, and cooking large meals for her family. She volunteered in scouting, delivered tapes to shut-ins from church, and loved the Lord Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Edith Vinson, and brothers Harry, Hollis and Robert Vinson.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Brown of the home; her children Stuart Sells (Vanessa) of Monroe, OK; Charles Sells (Kristy) of Tuttle, OK; Sandra Pierce (Dale) of Panama, OK; Charlene Day (David) and Jerry Jr. (Jeaneva) of Spiro, OK; step-daughters Carla Roper (Roy) of Greenwood, AR; and Jana Weber (Carl) of Greenville, TX; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her sisters Marge ONeill of Pleasant Mount, PA and Margaret Wilkins of Benton Harbor, MI.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 9, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, 28918 205th. Ave. in Poteau, OK, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK. The family will visit with friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Grace Manor Funeral Home28918 205th. Ave. Poteau, OL. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritans Clinic, 615 N.
