Bill Buttress, 82, Spiro, OK passed away, January 3, 2012, in Ft. Smith, AR. He was born July 15, 1929, at Shady Point, OK, to Luther James and Mary (Mulkey) Buttress. Bill was a cattleman and also retired from Riverside Furniture where he worked thirty three years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Jociel; one son Pete Buttress; one daughter Sandra Jean Buttress and two brothers.
Bill is survived by a son, Billy Buttress and wife Kathy of Spiro OK; two daughters, Peggy Logan and husband Jerry of Keota, OK, Frances Davison of Spiro, OK; a sister Jo Ann Williams of Memphis, TN; nine grandchildren, Jerry Don Logan, Jeffery Logan, Michael Davison, Kimberly Miller, Kelly Young, Billy Buttress, Marla Buttress, Marcia Pinkston, and Meredith Morris; thirteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 6, 2012, at New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, OK, with Rev. O.M. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow service at New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, OK.
