Bill J. Gibbens, 71, of Heavener, OK, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in Heavener. He was born September 2, 1941, at Baxter Springs, KS. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and a poultry farmer.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Paul Harris.
He is survived by his wife Joan Gibbens of the home; three daughters, Lorri Gibbens of Muskogee, OK, Saundra Taylor of Lancaster, TX and Debra Meskimen of Portland, OR; a brother Raymond Harris of Shell Knob, MO; a sister Sue Tabor of Shell Knob, MO; nine grandchildren, Travis and Sarah Gibbens, Abigail and Hillary Meskimen, Theresa Taylor, Rebecca Fabion, Jimmy, William and John Gibbens; five great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stoney Brown, Joe Allen, Rick West and James Morrison.
Memorial service scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Scott Bates officiating.
