Billie G. Hardin, 82, of Poteau, OK, passed away June 10, 2011, in Ft. Smith, AR. He was born October 9, 1928, in Knothole, OK, to Lawrence and Faye (Clapp) Hardin. He was a retired Broiler Manager for O.K. Foods and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of forty four years, Muriel Millward Hardin.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn (Stafford) Hardin of the home; a son David Gene Hardin and wife Debra of Cameron, OK, two daughters Linda Hoffman and husband Wayne of Cameron, OK, Kathy Griffin and husband David of Hackett, AR; a step-son Stan Borella and wife Diane of Murfreesboro, TN; a step-daughter Tara Meziere of Little Rock, AR; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way; as well as numerous other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be David Hardin, Luke Hardin, Billy Hardin, Jeff Walker, Wayne Hoffman and Seth Ryan.
Service will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, June 13, 2011, at the Presbyterian Church, Poteau, OK, with Pastor Bill Sampson officiating. Interment will follow service at the Fair Hill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. The family will visit with friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home.
