Obituary

Carl Piersant, 86, of Howe, OK, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015, in his home. He was born October 6, 1928, at Youngstown, Ohio, to John and Josephine (Magdalena) Piersant. He was a veteran of both the United States Air Force and Army. Carl was a member of the Heavener VFW, Poteau DAV and Heavener American Legion Post. He was a very active member of Immaculate Conception Church of Poteau where he loved to serve the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Ruby Piersant; a brother Pat Piersant and three grandchildren.
Carl is survived by three sons, Carl Jr. and wife Sandi of Howe, Donald and wife Faye of Minnesota and Richard and wife Dora of Poteau; three daughters, Kathie Piersant of Howe,, Carla Ellis of California and Helen Miller of Washington; a brother Donald J. Piersant of Ohio; fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be members of the VFW, Mike Kennerson, Robert Carter, Damon Davis, Bob Burns, Gerald Pearson and William Lerch.
Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church, Poteau, OK, with Father Valentine Ndebilie officiating. Interment will follow service at Heavener Memorial Park Cemetery, Heavener, OK. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
