Charles Skeeter Roger Cheely
Charles Skeeter Roger Cheely, 76, of Panama, OK, passed away June 13, 2010. He was born November 2, 1933, in Calhoun, OK to Charles Pete and Rosa (Painter) Cheely. Skeeter married Donnie Goforth on June 21, 1952 in Reno, NV. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, play poker, and always had a joke for any occasion.
Skeeter was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Alicia Riedal.
Skeeter is survived by his wife Donnie Cheely of the home; four sons Charles Chino and wife Patricia Cheely of Van Buren, AR, Bennie and wife Nancy Cheely of Panama, OK, Richard and wife Tonia Cheely of Shady Point, OK, Jimmy and wife Brenda Cheely of Panama, OK; one daughter, Janice and husband Darrell Harrison of Panama, OK; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; as well as other family, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau, OK, with Pastor Marty Sloan officiating. Interment will follow service at Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the funeral home.
