Clonie Joe Hollan was born on February 7th, 1948 in Summerfield, OK to the late Hobbie and Clara (Turner) Hollan. He passed away August 2, 2021 at home with his daughter by his side.
He is survived by his daughter Tara Jo Hollan and son-in-law Jeremy (Boog) Jones of Greenwood, AR, his companion Sue and his cats JT and Sissy. He is also survived by his niece Leyna Dominic and husband David of Red Oak, OK.
Joe helped lead the Leflore Savages to the basketball state tourney as a junior. Joe answered the call and served 3 tours during the Vietnam War Era in the Army as a highly decorated Sergeant. Joe worked all over the world during his career in the oilfield industry inland and offshore. Joe was an avid outdoorsman, extraordinary marksmen, trained in MMA, enjoyed concerts, movies, traveling, professional basketball, Sooner football, smooth on the dance floor and enjoyed a good drink with friends. He had a very rough and tough exterior but had the biggest heart whether it was someone in need or a stray dog.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau.
