David Calvin Scott of Spiro, Oklahoma (formerly of Amarillo, Texas) was born September 13, 1940 in McKinney, Texas to David Ray Scott and Mary Lee (McIntire) Dunlap and passed away on October 28, 2025 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

David was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sheryl Scott; two sisters, Jessie Foster and Louise Garcia; and one niece, Tena Hare.

David was a longtime resident of the area and the owner/operator of Scott Trucking. He loved spending time with his family and friends. David will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

David will be laid to rest at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral & Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma. "LeFlore County's Only On-Site Crematory"
