Deleca Kay Bowen
Deleca Leca Kay Bowen, 48, of Poteau, OK, passed away August 20, 2010, in Fort Smith, AR. She was born June 13, 1962, in Van Buren, AR, to Claude and Dorothy (Davis) Jordan. Deleca Jordan married Ted Bowen on June 9, 1995, at Shores Lake near Fern, AR. She loved animals, especially cattle, chickens and dogs and was a member of the Poteau Church of Christ.
Deleca was preceded in death by her parents and one brother George Jordan.
She is survived by her husband Ted, of the home; a son Quinton Howard Bowen also of the home; two brothers, Wade and wife Tina Jordan of Mulberry, AR and Phillip and wife Anita Jordan of Fern, AR; a sister Claudette and husband Jim Morse of Alma, AR; a sister-in-law Joetta Jordan of Mulberry, AR; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Ted Bowen, Quinton Bowen, Wade Jordan, Phillip Jordan, Frankie Nunley and Ron Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Tina Jordan, Sheila Black, Julie Wyers, Tony and Evanell Jones, Jay Hicks and all of her lifelong friends and family.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 27, 2010, at Poteau Church of Christ, Poteau, OK, on Highway 112, with Brother Don Cherry officiating. Interment will follow service at Hall Cemetery on Hill Town Road, near Cameron, OK. Viewing will begin 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 26, 2010, and the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
