Donald Wayne Craft (Donnie), age 79, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Heavener Nursing and Rehab. He was born on February 28, 1946, to Ralph and Vera Craft in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Donnie spent his early years in construction. He served in the Kansas National Guard for six years. After moving his family to Mena, Arkansas in 1978, he began his career at US Motors/Nidec and retired after thirty-three years.
Donnie lived his life for Jesus, serving as a youth pastor, assistant pastor, and a deacon. He loved doing what he could for Jesus. He loved his family beyond measure and was always ready to lend a hand to help a friend or neighbor. He was a huge razorback fan too! He is greatly missed already and we will cherish our memories of him in our hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Alfred Craft and Lee Craft. He is survived by Deanna, his wife of fifty-nine years, his sons, John Craft and wife Katharin of Bokoshe, Oklahoma; Steven Craft and wife Stacy of Poteau, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Roy), Levi (Kimberlin), Leah (Seth), Alanna (Cullen); great grandchildren, Lakyn, Marley, Reagan, Artsin (AJ), Cutler, Ayla, Luke, Lincoln; his sister, Sheryl Deramus, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.
No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral & Cremation Center in Poteau, Oklahoma.
