Donald R. Johnson
Donald R. Johnson of Cameron, Oklahoma was born November 20, 1941 in Dora, Arkansas, to Laban and Mary (Smith) Johnson, and passed away August 9, 2019 in his home at the age of 77.
Survivors include two sons, Don Johnson Sr. of Cameron, OK, Kevin Johnson and wife Barbie of Natural Dam, AR; OK; four daughters, Valerie Samuels and wife Julie of Cameron, Pamela Johnson of Fort Smith, AR., Lisa Johnson of France, June Jones of Cameron, OK; a sister in law Erma Johnson of Muldrow, OK; twenty-three grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Blake Thornburg, Blake Johnson, Don Johnson, Jacob Summers, Jason Crase and Tylor Crase; Honorary Pallbearers will be Skyler Thornburg, Kason Summers, Kuston Summers, Brian Thornburg and Robert Thornburg.
Don was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Janice Johnson of 53 years, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He was a truck driver and loved to hunt and fish.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 12, 2019 at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, OK with Rev. Lynn Bullard officiating. Interment will follow services at the Greenhill Cemetery. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family will greet friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service Poteau, OK.
