Donald Red Ray Julstead, 76, of Spiro, OK, passed away March 10, 2010, in Spiro, OK. He was born September 12, 1933, at Williams, OK, to Neely and Alta Mae (Stankewitz) Julstead. Donald was a master fabricator welder and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Edward Julstead; a sister Mildred Clayborn and a grandson Jason Julstead.
Donald is survived by a son, Karl and wife Michelle Julstead of Panama, OK; a daughter Marie and husband Bud Peters of San Diego, CA; a sister Betty and husband Harold Dotson of Panama, OK; eight grandchildren, Erica Cooper of Shady Point, OK, Kyle Pierce of Panama, OK, Kyle Julstead of Alma, AR, Amanda Julstead of Alma, AR, Emily Peters San Diego, CA, Miranda Peters or San Diego, CA, Cameron Peters of San Diego, CA, Jacob Peters of San Diego, as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Don Mangrum, Carl Gene Hale, Charles Robert Pierce and Cotton Hale.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Shady Point, OK, with the Bro. Larry Matthiesen officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made to the American Cancer Society (4110 S 100th East Ave Suite 101, Tulsa, OK 74146). Cremation will follow services. Family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 12, 2010. Grace Manor Funeral Home of Spiro will be conducting the services.
