Funeral Service for Dorothy Dean Sweeten, 99 of Rock Island, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Rocky Boggs officiating. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service of Poteau, Oklahoma.
She was born on August 21, 1923 in Hackett, Arkansas to Pearl (Williams) Hopkins and Leffel Hopkins and passed away on October 15, 2022 in Heavener, Oklahoma. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Sweeten; daughter, Pearly Mae Minks, and sons, Bobby Gene Sweeten and Jerry Wayne Sweeten
Survivors include her daughters, Leta Faye Post and husband Bobby Don, Mary Boggs, Elizabeth Underwood, Karen Ware, Michelle Allen and husband Lee Bollinger; son, Justin Sweeten; thirteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Brian Minks, Kevin Minks, John Boggs, Leebo Bollinger, Josh Williams, Trey Boggs, and Jay Ware.
Viewing will be Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 12pm - 7pm at the funeral home.
