Eddie Alford McCroskey
Eddie Alford McCroskey, 70, of Poteau, OK, passed away February 17, 2014, in Poteau. He was born April 26, 1943, in Ft. Smith, AR, to Orville and Wilma (McConnell) McCroskey. He earned his Doctorate of Law Degree from OCU in 1972.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son Charles Lake McCroskey; two brothers Dinger and Bobby McCroskey; a sister Anna Marie McCroskey.
Eddie is survived by his wife Ann McCroskey of the home; son Eddie McCroskey II of Wister, OK; three daughters, Charlotte and husband Mack Schmidt of Poteau, OK, Jaclyn and husband John Meeh of Wister, OK and Crystal and husband Allan Hensley of Shady Point, OK; brothers Charles McCroskey of Poteau, OK, Freddy and wife Mary McCroskey of OKC, OK; sister Emma and husband A.V. Skinner of Poteau, OK; grandchildren Alex and Angel Schmidt, Treven Ward, Acelyn and Addison McCroskey, Cole and Bryar Hensley, Joel and Jonah Meeh and Nate Brown; two sisters-in-law Phyllis McCroskey of Shady Point, OK and Marie McCroskey of Poteau, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Springhill Baptist Church, Monroe, OK, with Pastor Dan Fisher and Pastor Rick Snyder officiating. You may offer condolences to the family Wednesday evening from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has requested Gideon Bibles in lieu of flowers.
