Edna Irene Shrum Passed away April 14, 2020 at Pocola Health and Rehab at the age of 98 years and 5 months. She was born on November 26, 1921 in Hartford, Arkansas to Clarence and Nellie Mae (Pate) Shrum.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Lula Mae Shrum Myers, three brothers, Carl, Roy, and Earl Shrum and one nephew, Jackie Neal Myers.
Irene is survived by a brother, Don Shrum and Dixie of Poteau, 5 nieces Frances Myers Boevers and John, Lorraine Shrum Odom and David, Donna Shrum Deaton and David, Darla Shrum Davis and Deanna Shrum Davis. She is also survived by 8 great nieces and 3 great nephews, Debra Myers Gentry, Melissa Myers Ward and Ronnie, Stephanie Myers Free and John, Sarah Odom, Ginger Boevers Tolleson, Lauren, Larissa, and Logan Deaton, DeLaina Davis, Daryl Davis, Bryce Odom, Daren Davis, and Nicholas Boevers.
A private family burial was held on Thursday at Vaughn Cemetery, Monroe, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service of Poteau, Oklahoma.
