Obituary

Celebrating the Life of: Edna Williams
Edna Mae (Baker) Williams, 81, was born December 10, 1931, Vienna, ILL. She and her husband L. G. Williams were five days short of celebrating sixty two years of marriage when she was called to her heavenly home. She was a stay at home Mom who reared four boys. She spent her entire life serving the needs of others, including her family, many youth groups, and church families. From 1959 through 2008 she was the backbone in assisting her husband, while pastoring several churches in Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Two of the churches were home mission churches in Galena, KS and Rock Island, OK. She was instrumental in initiating children and youth programs, and many vacation bible schools. She will be missed by her family, church family and many friends.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents Amos and Flossie (Sherrils) Baker; brother Herbert Hosfelt; and a baby sister June Jewel.
Edna is survived by her husband L.G. Williams of Rock Island, OK; sons, Larry and wife Marilyn Williams of Olathe, KS, Gary and wife Linda Williams of Rock Island, OK, Keith Williams of Little Rock, AR and Kevin Williams of Rock Island, OK; grandchildren, Brian Williams, Laura Snider, Ashley and Kelly Williams, Christian and Natalie Williams; great grandchildren, Dylan and Ella Williams; sisters Laura Robbs of Robbs, ILL, Rhudell Dawes of Vienna, ILL, sister-in-law Hazel Hosfelt of Vienna, ILL; nephews Bobby Dawes and Herbert Ray Hosfelt of Vienna, ILL; niece Barbara Kerley of Golconda, ILL; many other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be John Heavener, Bobby Dawes, Darrell Hayes, Jeff Williams, Paul Dunn and Brian Williams.
Services will be Saturday October 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Life N Christ Church, Rock Island, OK. Interment will follow service at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. You may offer condolence to the family from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
