Ella J. Burden
Ella Burden, 91, of Poteau, OK, passed away, June 15, 2013, in Poteau. She was born September 8, 1921, in Braden, OK, to Cleo and Mable (Shepherd) Nation. She was a retired school cafeteria worker, a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother and member of Double Branch Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hans Burden; a great grandson Grayson Hunt; two brothers, Wilburn and Willie Nation.
Ella is survived by two sons Winfred Burden of Poteau, OK and Ronnie Burden of Mustang, OK; a daughters Carolyn Baetz of Poteau, OK; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; a sister Charlene Marquez of Yuba City, CA; and a host other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Ken Goins, Edwin Burden, Danny Wann, Jim Wann, Jeff Callaway, and Ralph Pickle.
Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Double Branch Baptist Church, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Phil McGeehee and Pastor Jerry Williams officiating. Interment will follow service at the Vaughn Cemetery, Gilmore, OK. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
