Emma Marler, 86, Wister, OK, passed away November 10, 2014. She was born November 25, 1927, in Wilburton, OK, to Leland and Anna (Dameron) Harris. Emma was married to William P. Bill Marler on November 3, 1947 in Van Buren, AR. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and three brothers, George, Ira and Johnny Ray Harris.
Emma is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Paulette Covey of Wister, OK and Kathy Jo and Leonard Thornburg of Hodgen, OK. Her grandchildren, Misty and Pete Crandell, Cody and Tina Covey, Buck and Sabrina Covey, Nikki and Billy Chitwood and step grandson Leon and Cheryl Thornburg. Great grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Maci Crandell, MKayd Chitwood, MKena Chitwood, MKail Chitwood, Jaelyn Covey, and step great grandchildren, Tanner Crandell, Hanna Crandell and Morgan Martinez; two sisters, Betty Kruseman of Castro Valley, CA and Willa Divine of Burkburnette, TX; one brother Ted Harris of Fanshawe, OK; and a host of extended family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Cody Coveyand Buck Covey, Pete Crandell, Tyler Wilson, Billy Chitwood and MKayd Chitwood. Honorary pallbearers will be her great granddaughters, Maci Crandell, MKena and MKail Chitwood and Jaelyn Covey.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Pastor Ira M. Harris and Wayne Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow service at Ellis Chapel Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
