Obituary

Floyd Johnson, 81, of Poteau, OK, passed away May 6, 2015, in Ft. Smith, AR. He was born August 7, 1933, in Poteau, to Othel and Emma (White) Johnson. He was a welder. Floyd was a member of Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church and a veteran serving in Korea when the 180th. Nation Guard Infantry was mobilized.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Bud Johnson and Tommy Johnson; seven sisters, Gracie Marler, Elenor Dorey, Elsie Welch, Johnnie Dorey, Sybil Neff, Emma Jean Hanley and Billie Stock.
Survivors include his wife June Johnson of the home, three sons, Gary Johnson of Dallas, Oregon, Scott Hilstrom of Tomaha, OK and Keith Hilstrom of Panama, OK; two brothers, Ernest Johnson and wife Margetta of Tulsa, OK and Orville wife Margaret of OKC, OK; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other family members, friends and loved ones.
Viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, May 8, at the funeral home. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau. In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made in honor of Floyd Johnson to Pleasant Valley Free Will Baptist Church, 411 Pleasant Valley Rd. Poteau, OK 74953.
