Foy Donald "Don" Reid, of Poteau was born February 24, 1940, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Foy Campbell and Mary Imogene (White) Reid, and passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the age of 79.
Don is survived by a daughter, Lori Reid of Guthrie OK; sons, Randy and Deanna Reid of Mustang, OK, Rick Reid of Ruidoso, NM; a sister, Carolyn McCurley of Pauls Valley, OK; daughter in law, Jill Beger of Cameron, OK; grandchildren, Karli and Luke Chesner of Spiro, OK, Cassie Beger of Spiro, OK, Sydney Ritter of Fort Smith, AR, Callandra Roberts of Monroe, OK, Cory Cooper of Cameron, OK, Fayla Stephens of Panama, OK, Kyle Butler of Poteau, OK, Kari Snow of Stillwater, OK, Lacy Dodson of Pauls Valley, OK, Jeanie Rice of Edmond, OK, Chris and Lacey Reid of Guthrie, OK, Jeremy Reid and Kristin of Stillwater, OK, Jessica and Brian Good of Yukon, OK, Amanda Vibbard and Jerry of Mustang, OK, Danielle and Zack Minor of Yukon, OK; great grandchildren, Raylee Chesner of Spiro, OK, Gentry and Warren Ritter of Fort Smith, AR, Taylor and Trey Roberts of Monroe, OK, Kadence, Brody, and Madden of Cameron, OK, Owen Francis and Aradia Snow of Stillwater, OK, Skyler, Violet, and Delilah of Pauls Valley, OK, Cash Dodson of Edmond, OK, Kayla, Brooklyn, and Colton of Yukon, OK, Cameron and Xaylie of Mustang, OK, Harper of Yukon, OK; as well as other family, friends and loved ones.
Don was proceeded in death by his parents; Foy and Mary Reid, wife; Joyce Reid, children; Debbie Reid, Robin Reid, and Joey Beger; Don, or as many people knew him as "Papa", loved spending time with his family. His hobbies included traveling, fishing, hunting, camping, and gambling. But most of all he loved to spoil his little dog Sofie.
Pallbearers will be Luke Chesner, Chris Reid, Jeremy Reid, Sydney Ritter, Kyle Butler, and Jimmy Mack Thomas. Honorary pallbearer is Keith Butler.
Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Grace Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Iron Bridge Cemetery, Keota, OK. Viewing will be Sunday 1-7 with family greeting friends from 4-6. Service under the direction of Grace Funeral Services of Poteau.
