Frank Ham Jr. was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Homer and Lorene (Hillis) Ham. He passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on August 24, 2011, at the age of 71, in Panama, Oklahoma.
Frank had a strong love for his family, and an extra special place in his heart for his many great grandchildren. He had a special bond with each and every one of them and he was at his happiest when he was spoiling the babies. He spent this last year doing just what he loved, spending time with his family and breaking horses, which he had an extra special talent for. Anyone that watched him with horses would see that he had an extraordinary talent and natural ability that was unsurpassed.
Frank is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret.. In his final days you could see the deep love they shared as he would light up each time she was near him. He is also survived by four children; Rene Seckman (Mike), Bart Ham (Tami), Frankie Knowles (Steve), and Sonya Ham (Allen Potter). He is survived by 9 grandchildren, Shana Jamison, Christopher Seckman, Kyle Knowles, Cody Knowles, Zachary Ham, Tyler Ham, Cherie Grant, Shalie Taylor, and Katy Coker. He was also fortunate enough to have 9 great-grandchildren to enjoy. They were extra special to him; Andie and Parker Jamison, Zachary Ham Jr. and Hailey Ham, Trey Grant, Levi and ShyAnn Taylor, Oliviah Knowles, and Tynley Knowles.
He leaves behind his brother Curtis Ham and two sisters, Patricia Griffin and Cathy Johnson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorothy Riley, and niece Sue Kester.
Frank was a true cowboy. He was strong and tough, but also sensitive and loving. He will be greatly missed by each and everyone who was blessed to have had him in their lives. He is somewhere out there on a beautiful horse. He has ridden into all of our hearts and this is where he will always remain.
Service will be held at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church, Panama, OK, at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, with Rev. Tim Painter officiating. Interment will follow service at Old Bokoshe Cemetery, Bokoshe, OK. The family will visit with friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Grace Manor Funeral Home.
