George Ed Rutan Jr, 73, of Poteau, OK, passed away May 28, 2012 in Poteau. He was born July 1, 1938, in Long Beach, CA, to George Edward Sr. and Mabel (Kiser) Rutan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired police officer from Long Beach, CA, and Heavener, OK, Police Departments.
He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Gloria Rutan.
Survivors include a son Edward Henry Rutan of Utah; five daughters, Tracey Kranz and son-in-law Doyel Arrant of Loving, OK, Janet Lynn Rutan of Moreno Valley, CA, Raeann McNamara of Los Alamitos, CA, Frances Heinz of Bakersfield, CA, Lisa Tremper of Bunea Park, CA; two brothers, Richard and Robert Rutan both of Oroville, CA; a sister Kathleen Lanzi of Newport Beach, CA; fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
A memorial services will be held Saturday, at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau. OK, with Father Valentine Ndebilie officiating. Memorial service and cremation under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma.
