George Harvey Urchison Sr.
George Harvey Urchison Sr., 94, of Howe, OK, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Howe. He was born March 5, 1918, at Kaw City, OK, to George and Lucy Elizabeth (Richard) Urchison. He was a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Wanda Urchison; three brothers and two sisters.
George is survived by his wife of years, Edith Irene (Sanders) Urchison of the home; three sons, Kenneth Urchison of Dardenell, AR, George Urchison Jr. of Howe, OK and Tracy Urchison of Bokoshe, OK; three daughters, Fonda Hardy of California, Julia Down and husband David of Tulsa, OK and Carol Harris and husband Jim of Gravette, AR; a brother Walter Urchison of Talihina, OK; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Al Monks, Tony Knight, Coady Francis, Ron Edwards, Chris Bunner and Gary Urchison.
Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Springhill Baptist Church, with Bro. Billy Parker officiating. Interment will follow service at Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, OK. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau, OK. You may offer condolence to the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
