Glenda M. Sisson
Glenda M. Sisson, 69, of Poteau, OK, passed away January 6, 2013, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born April 1, 1943, in Thackerville, OK, to O.C. and Mildred (Scivally) Sampson. She was a foster parent and homemaker, as well as a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Robert W. Sisson; three brothers, Virgil Sampson, V.J. Sampson and James Sampson; a brother-in-law Chance West; a daughter-in-law Sherry Langston; and parents-in-law Robert and Margie Sisson
Glenda is survived by six sons and spouses, David and Mary Langston of Madill, OK, Russell and Jodie Broussard of Gilmore, OK, Bobby and Jennifer Sisson of Virginia Beach, VA, Brian Sisson of Virginia Beach, VA, Glenn and Cheryl Sisson of Wister, OK and Cody Shipman and Jessica Whitlow of OKC, OK; three daughters and spouses, Tammy and Wally Lambert of OKC, OK, Teresa and Earl Seagraves of Spiro, OK and Diane and Kevin Yarbrough of Poteau, OK; five sisters and their spouses, Edith Marchbanks of Thackerville, OK, Sharon and Phil Migues of Denton, TX, Violet and W. M. Gowdy of Amarillo, TX, Murlene and Jerry Sanders of Poteau, OK, and Elaine and Clifford Midgley of Wister, OK; sister-in-law Judy Sampson of Thackerville, OK; special grandson Heith Allen Payne; Special friend Trisha Hilderbrant; thirty nine grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be David Langston, Russell Broussard, Glenn Sisson, Cody Shipman, Heith Allen Payne, George Midgley and Lance Midgley.
Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK,with Rev.P.J. Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow service at Mt. View Cemetery, Glendale, OK. You may offer condolence to the framily from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
