Gloria Jean Chatten of Muldrow, Oklahoma was born May 31, 1950 in Woodlake, California to Ronald Lee and Carol Jean (Weems) Chatten and passed away July 10, 2026 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 76.

She is survived by:

One daughter:  Jodi Head and husband Kevin of Muldrow, Oklahoma

Two sons:  Buddy Mercer and wife Anita of Selma, California; and Eddie Mercer of Modesto, California

One brother:  Ron Chatten of Salome, Arizona

12 grandchildren

5 great-grandchildren

Numerous nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and a host of friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Lee and Carol Jean Chatten; and one brother, Arthur Chatten.

Gloria, a cherished resident of the Muldrow area, dedicated many years as a hostess at Eagle Mountain Casino. She found joy in the company of her family, was an avid reader, and delighted in solving crossword puzzles. Her love for horses was a significant part of her life. Gloria's vibrant spirit and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
