Harley Barnes, 90, of Poteau, OK, passed away December 26, 2010. He was born September 2, 1920, in Summerfield, OK, to George R. and Oda Mae (Hankins) Barnes. Harley was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He was a self employed hotel/motel businessman and real-estate investor.
Harley was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Faye Barnes, and two brothers, Troy Barnes and George Barnes.
He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Vaughn and Traci Barnes of Poteau; a daughter Ycenna Finnigan Braly and husband Robert of Austin, TX; two brothers, Ray Barnes of Webbers Falls, OK, and James Barnes of Searcy, AR; a sister Larease Bryan of Wilburton, OK; three grandchildren, Brandon Finnigan of Poteau, OK, Amanda Barnes of El Reno, OK, and Kristi and husband Benny ODell of Graham, TX; four great grandchildren, Alexis and Skyler Finnigan and Brody and Korie ODell; special friend Gail Morrison of Poteau, OK; as well as numerous other family, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Terry Manlove, Kendal Repass, Hardy Coston, Vaughn Barnes and Brandon Finnigan.
Services will be held graveside at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, 29, 2010, at Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, OK, with Brother Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow service at Summerfield Cemetery.
