Harold E. Cox, 75, of Summerfield, OK, passed away, June 12, 2012, in Summerfield. He was born August 21, 1936, at Summerfield, OK, to John Christopher and Ora (White) Cox. He was a retired glazier from the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife and mother of his children Bonnie (Crusha) Cox; four brothers, Orb, Ivan, Dale and J.C. Cox Jr. and a sister Reba Loyd
Harold is survived by his wife Doris Marie (McGowen) Cox of the home; sons, Harold Cox Jr. and wife Earlene of Norman, OK, Michael Cox and wife Tracie of Summerfield, OK, Brent Cox and wife Sheila of Noble, OK, Jim Cox and wife Michelle of Ramona, CA and Daniel Lloyd and wife Toby of Greenwood, AR, Glenn Lloyd and wife Paula of Summerfield, OK; daughters, Gayle Reynolds and husband Raymond of Newalla, OK, Nilas Ellis and husband John of Bengal, OK, Rhonda Steelman and husband Gary of Richert, OK, Sandra Granniman and husband Tom of Krebs, OK and Lisa Vines and husband Marshall of Hackett, AR; brothers, Jim Cox of Bonita Springs, FL, Sherman Cox of OKC, OK and Delton Cox of Pocola, OK; sisters, Freda Barrick of Phoenix, AZ and Louise Earls of Ponca City, OK; thirty grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Cox, Eric Reynolds, Jonathan Reynolds, William Vines, Kent Cox and Daniel Ramon Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Cox, Brent Cox Jr., Danny Lloyd, Glenn Lloyd, Melvin Scott, Jerry Wiser, Big G. Steelman and Alex Blevins.
Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 15, 2012, at Summerfield Baptist Church, Summerfield, OK, with Bro. Charles Caughern officiating. Interment will follow service at Summerfield Cemetery.
