Harold Geen Nixon
Harold Geen Nixon, 86, of McCurtain, OK, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013, in Ft. Smith, AR. He was born September 8, 1927, Latham, OK, to Roy and Ethel (May) Nixon. He was a rancher, oil and gas field worker, coal miner, and also worked for the county.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; wife Wanda Nixon; and two brothers Lee Nixon and Paul Nixon.
He is survived by a son Tommy Nixon and wife Debbie of Milton, OK; two daughters, Debra Restine of Milton, OK and Kendra Nixon of McCurtain, OK; brother Jerry Nixon of McCurtain, OK; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as a host of other family friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will grandsons.
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, at the First Baptist Church, Bokoshe, OK, with Revs. Lynn Bullard and Fred Wegert officiating. Interment will follow at Milton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home Poteau. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
