Holton D Primm
Holton D Primm 87, of Alma, AR. passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, in Alma, AR. He was born November 15, 1928, at Keota, OK to Jerry Franklin Primm and Cellie Belle (Holton) Primm.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Holton "Coach" Primm was a teacher and coach for 23 years in Oklahoma and Arkansas. He spent his last 10 years coaching at Subiaco Academy. After retiring from education, he and his wife owned and operated an insurance agency in Paris, Arkansas for several years. Holton also was the director of the Paris Boys Club for a year. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife Hannah Marguerite (Barnes) Primm of the home; a son Jeffrey Franklin Primm and wife Karen of Greenwood AR; a daughter Leigh Ann Sumner and husband Gary of Mulberry, AR; grandchildren Rachael Presson, Megan White, Dane Sumner, Jordan Primm and Allison Primm; great grandchildren; Annie, Torrie, Adrianna, Taryn and Jackson; a sister Mary Lou Rogers of Oklahoma City OK, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Primm, Dane Sumner, Sean Gammon, Jody Presson, David White and Gary Sumner.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Haven Heights Baptist Church in Ft. Smith AR with Dr. Steve Young officiating. Interment will follow service at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau, Ok.
