James Leroy Gould, 87, of Spiro, OK, was born March 1, 1924 to Virgil Lee and Ruth (Hardy) Gould. He passed away August 1, 2010, in Ft. Smith, AR. James married Pauline Lovelle Blair on February 27, 1944, in Bokoshe, OK. He was a rancher and a member of the Church of Christ in Spiro, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 66 years; a daughter, Pamela Leon; and three brothers.
He is survived by two sons, Roy Edward and Tina Gould of Muldrow, OK. and Mike and Toni Gould of Bokoshe, OK; six grandsons, Stephen and Sherry Gould, Jay and Tanya Gould, Thomas Gould, Randall and Jennifer Gould, Ricky and Heather Teller and Daniel Leon, one granddaughter, Michelle Leon; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Christine Bowman of Tulsa, OK; one son-in-law, Richard Leon; as well as numerous other family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Butch Beale, B.T. Cooper, Bill Marler, Jim Stilwell, Odell Clark, Ken Hargis, Sam Real, and David Whittiker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed (Rass) Abernathy, Charles McKee, Tom Tobler and Ronnie Parent.
Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Spiro Church of Christ with Bro. Gary James officiating. Interment will follow service at Old Bokoshe Cemetery.
