James Bud McConnell
James Bud McConnell, 81, of Poteau, passed away July 15, 2015, in Poteau. He was born June 24, 1934, in Hartshorne, OK, to Lewis and Sarah (Hulvey) McConnell. He was a small engine mechanic.
Preceding James in death are his parents, three brothers, Albert McConnell, Orville McConnell and Therral McConnell and one sister Irene Renfro.
James is survived by sons, James McConnell Jr. of California, and Larry Chowning of Poteau; daughters Sheena Medlock of Mountain Burg, AR, Charolette Walker of Killeen, TX and Anna Green of Poteau, OK; five brothers, Eddie McConnell, Grady McConnell, Bill McConnell, Kenny McConnell, Glendale McConnell; a sister Lorene Harkins of Norwalk, CA; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; his faithful companion Sharon Chowning of the home; as well as a host of family friends and loved ones.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK. Family visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July16th , at the funeral home.
