Janet Jan Anna Carlson
Jan Carlson, 76, of Poteau, OK, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Poteau. She was born December 16, 1940, in Denham Springs, LA, to Lee and Anna (Hrachovina) Laird. She was a homemaker, and loved to teach Sunday School, cook for the children at church camp, and Bible School and was affectionally known to most of them as Granny.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Hazel Scott and Vera Telford.
Survivors include a son Cliff Nash of Wichita, KS, a daughter Pat Colbert of Hackett, AR, a brother Ed Laird of CA, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as many other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P M Friday, November 10, 2017 at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, OK with Rev. Rick Kester officiating. She will be available Friday morning for viewing at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, OK.
