Janice Paulette Covey of Wister, Oklahoma was born August 12, 1948 in Wilburton, Oklahoma to William Paul and Emma Lois (Harris) Marler, and passed away April 5, 2020 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 71.
She is survived by a daughter; Misty and Pete Crandell, two sons Cody and Tina Covey, and Buck and Sabrina Covey, a sister Kathy Jo and Leonard Thornburg, grandchildren Tyler and Madison Wilson, Maci Crandell, Jaelyn Covey, Morgan Eagle, Tanner Crandell and Hanna Crandell, great grandchildren Blakely Wilson and Kynley Wilson, lifelong best friend Leslie Wooten as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma Marler, she was a cook, bus driver and a custodian for Wister Schools. Paulette was a selfless woman, that always put other first, especially her children and grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Ellis Chapel Cemetery Wister, Oklahoma with Pastor Ira M. Harris officiating. Viewing will be 9:00 AM 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma.
