Jerry Wayne Riggs of Poteau, Oklahoma was born January 17, 1952 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Marlin and Dorothy (Urchison) Riggs and passed away March 9, 2025 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 73.

Numerous nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and a host of friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Dorothy Riggs; and a sister, Linda Devin.

Jerry was a longtime resident of the area, a Custodian for Poteau Public Schools and at the Poteau Methodist Church, and a member of Monroe Church of Christ. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Jerry will be deeply missed.

The family will hold a Memorial Service to celebrate Jerry's life at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma.
