Jester H. Higginbotham, 89, of Panama, OK, passed away January 30, 2011. He was born November 8, 1921, in, Chatfield, TX, to John Henry and Audrey Mae (Green) Higginbotham. He worked heavy construction on the pipe line.

He is survived by two sons Jack F. Higginbotham of West Pittsburg, CA and Allen Brown of Oregon; five daughters Elizabeth Smith and husband James of Poteau, OK, Vera Brown of Shady Point, OK, Brenda Self of Cowlington, OK, Pam Brown of Heavener, OK and Denise Odeh of North Carolina; eighteen grandchildren; as well as numerous other family, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Joel Smith, Matt Smith, Josh Smith, David Carson, Jerry Inman and Bill Tackett.
Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church, Panama, OK with Pastor Tim Payne officiating. Interment will follow service at Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK. Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma.
