Jimmy Gordon Ramsey
Jimmy Ramsey, 85, of Talihina, OK, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, in Talihina. He was born June 17, 1932, at Whitesboro, OK to John William and Pearl (Payne) Ramsey. He was a veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force. He was a welder and was a clerk at Western Auto in Talihina for fifteen years.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife Christine (Southard) Ramsey, two brothers Dole Ramsey and Lynn Ramsey.
He is survived by a son Chuck Shilling and wife Charlene of Anadarko, OK, a daughter Debra Davis of Whitesboro, OK, two grandchildren Chuck Shilling Jr. and Robin and husband Will Grimes, three great grandchildren, Autumn Shilling, Stephen Shilling and Madelyn Grimes, his niece Sherri and husband Kenneth Campbell, his special friend Vergie Bonner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Will Grimes, Tim Holt, Gerald Ramsey (nephew), Scotty Russell, Don Southard and Sherman Southard. Honorary pallbearers Chuck Shilling Jr. (Grandson), Kenneth Campbell and John Crayton
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October12, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, Whitesboro, OK, with Bro. Chuck Shilling and Bro. David Gibson officiating. Interment will follow service at Whitesboro Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Whitesboro, OK.
