Apr 9, 1982 — Dec 20, 2016
Obit for
John Claude Rye
J.C. Rye,34 , of, Wister, OK, went to be with his Lord on December 20, 2016 in Poteau, OK. He was born April 9, 1982, in Ft. Smith, AR, to David Odel Rye and Donna Kay (Poor). He was a sheet metal contractor working for Johnson Construction. J.C. loved his family and put his children first in his life. He was always there to help a friend in need. He spent as much time in the outdoors as possible, with a pole in his hand, a tent in the background and a bonfire to light the night. Surrounded by family and friends was his favorite place to be. J.C. loved to sing and had a wonderful voice for it. Using this gift to sing in church when asked or entertaining friends and family around the karaoke machine. Tears of sadness for J.C. will fall for those of us left behind. J.C. believed that Jesus Christ died for his sins and accepted that Grace and Forgiveness with open arms. He is singing around Gods throne this very moment or sitting by his grandpa holding a pole in the river of life so this is not good bye, its just see you later.
He was preceded in death by Great Granny and Grandpa Christopher Robert and Myrtle May Poor, Grandpa Marion Newton Poor, Cousin Brandy Morton, paternal grandparents J.C. and Della Rye and a brother Aiden Lovell.
