Karen Lee Calvert

Karen Lee Calvert of Poteau, Oklahoma was born on April 4, 1955 in Hugoton, Kansas to Newton Marshall and Nina (Litkey) Ince. She passed away on August 10, 2026 in Poteau at the age of 71.

She is survived by:

Her husband:  Rickey Calvert of the home

Two daughters:  Shonna Kisner and husband Darren of Cane Hill, Arkansas; Patty Potter and husband Jeffery of Haskell, Oklahoma

One brother:  George Ince of Corpus Christi, Texas

Seven grandchildren:  Eric Earnest, Christopher Earnest, Bidgett Earnest, Liam Earnest, William McDown, Aiden Potter, and Sophie Potter

One great‑grandson:  Adam Truitt

Numerous other loved ones and a host of friends

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Newton and Nina Ince; and one brother, Dean Ince.

Karen was a longtime resident of the community and a devoted Accountant at Acme Brick. She embraced her Baptist faith and lived a life filled with creativity and love. Karen had a passion for sewing and crocheting, often finding joy in the intricate details of her handiwork. She also enjoyed the challenge of puzzles and puzzle games, always ready to engage her mind. Above all, Karen treasured the time spent with her family, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A true friend and devoted family member, Karen's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
