Kathleen Beatrice Sweeten
Kathleen Sweeten, 50, of Spiro, OK, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 in Fort Smith, AR. She was born at Talihina, OK, to Don Morris and Sophie (Thompson). She was a special education teacher for thirty years and a former Choctaw District Princess.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Joe Morris.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Brian Sweeten of the home, two sons, Donovan Morris and wife Paige of Keota, OK and Dylan Sweeten of Spiro, OK, a sister Donna Solis of Fort Smith, AR, three grandchildren, Ashdon, Austyn and Easton Morris, as well as a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Frank Johnson, Bo Gullick, Billy Permenter, Gary Marris, Wayne Holt and Braeden Johnson.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church, Spiro, OK, with Pastor Keith Wilson and Ronnie Robertson officiating. Interment will follow service at Siloam Springs Cemetery, McCurtain, OK. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Poteau, OK.
