Kathryn M. Carroll
Kathryn Mary Carroll, 67, of Ardmore, OK, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born July 31, 1947, at Liberal, KS, to William Wendell Pete and Mary Alice Craig. Kathy was a cosmetologist and owner of the beauty college in Liberal for over 10 years. She and her family were active supporters of the
Jayhawk Collegiate Baseball League team, the Liberal Bee Jays. For over 20 years she and her husband, Bill, hosted Bee Jay baseball players in their home. Kathy and her husband moved to Ardmore in 2002 to be closer to their sons. Kathy had a spirit of volunteerism and became active as a CASA volunteer. She took a personal interest in
all the families she worked with and received a commendation for 10 years as a CASA volunteer. She enjoyed attending church as a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church. Kathy enjoyed playing bingo, reading, crocheting, ceramics, online games and keeping up with her family and friends on Facebook. Kathryn Mary Carroll will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Nana and friend to all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jo Ellen; her brother Wendell Roger;
and her brother Edward Lee.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband William Dee "Bill" Carroll of the home; sons William Lee "Bill" Carroll and his wife, Terri, of Poteau; Timothy Edward Carroll and his wife, Jenifer, of Duncan; affectionately known as Nana, she has 6 grandchildren: Kristopher, Zachary, Craig, Gracen, Isaac and Kiser, and a great grandson, Kamden.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Hon Cemetery Pavilion, Waldron, AR. Interment will follow service at Hon Cemetery. You may leave an on-line greeting to the family at www.gracemanorfh.com
