LaJuan Blankenship
LaJuan Blankenship, 79, of, Fort Worth, TX, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Poteau. She was born June 26, 1937 at Monroe, OK, to Stanley E. and Hazel (Dunn) Dill. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Kent Woods, a brother Ronald Lee Dill, a grandson Josh Ivy and first husband Lerran Woods.
Survivors include, her husband J.D. Blankenship of Fort Worth, a son Don Woods of Monroe, a daughter Tammi Meyer of New Orleans, a brother Denver Blake and wife Peggy Dill of Howe, a sister-in-law Pat Dill of Monroe, six grandchildren, Krystal Woods, Donnie Woods, Eric Woods, Stacie Meyer, Grant Meyer and Garrett Meyer, a great granddaughter Bailey Meyer, as well as a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Dill, Justin Dill, Ragan Dill, Riley Dill, Daniel Keys, and Jordan Keys.
Service will be held Thursday, January 12, at 10:00 a. m. at the First Baptist Church in Monroe, OK, with Pastor Aaron Ashlock officiating. Interment will follow service at Monroe Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday, January 11, and family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Grace Manor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
