Launa Belle Turner
Launa Belle Turner, of Poteau, OK, passed away, January 7, 2013, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born January 19, 1934, in Bokoshe, OK, to Jacob Louis and Ola Belle (Peerson) Cloud. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted Jehovahs Witness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Doyle Gene Turner; two sons, Danny Gene Turner and Timothy Wesley Turner; two brothers, a sister and a great-grandson.
Launa is survived by a son Shell Vondell Turner and wife Mary Beth of Heavener, OK; four daughters, Deborah Jean Goodwin and husband Daniel of Lewisville, TX, Lana Launa Turner of OKC, OK, Dalena Gayle Weaver and husband Patrick of Weatherford, TX and Yolanda Gavonne Schwendiman and husband Rex of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; a sister Mildred Young of Poteau, OK; a brother Charles Red Cloud of Poteau, OK; a brother-in-law Denny Earl Turner of Abilene, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Pete Philippi officiating. Interment will follow service at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
