Laverne Henson, 70, Cameron, OK, passed away April 27, 2012, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born January 11, 1942, at Mena, AR, to James Cornelius and Gertrude L. (Mills) Moore. She was a faithful Jehovahs Witness since September of 1961.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Imajene Bryant.
Laverne is survived by her husband Dorsey Wayne Henson of the home; a brother, James R. Moore of Cameron, OK; a sister Norma Evans of Poteau, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Russell Sanders officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Family will visit with friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
