Obituary

Lawrence E. Clayton was born in Fort Coffee, OK, in 1927. He served in World War II and was a scout leader with Boy Scouts of America; he received the highest award for a scout leader to receive. Clayton was a Presbyterian Elder who loved the church and was also a Sunday School Teacher. He loved to sing and some of his favorite songs were God is Able, One Day at a Time and Living Testimony.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Emma (McClish) Clayton; son Billy Wayne Clayton; three brothers and three sisters.
Lawrence is survived by his wife; six children; twenty six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Warren Thornton, Christopher Clayton, William Clayton, Jameal Shepard, Neil Niederhauser, Dylan Jones, Daniel Clayton, Ryan Hardin, Jessie Hutchinson and Lance Clayton
Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, Ft. Coffee, OK, with Rev. Ray Roberts and Rev. Gary Withrow officiating.
